COWER is from Portland, OR and they are nothing if not mold breakers and destroyers of regional stereotyping. Nothing close to being TRAGEDY clones, Hatred Songs expresses heavy, loud, and at times, crushing stoner tinged music. Its chalked full of quick changes that makes for a refreshing 7" in a sea of stale, generic hardcore. With a drawn out noise filled final track, they break down whatever barriers and connotations the listener has built up to make way for THE LAND BEFORE TIME LP coming out fall of 09'.
